Finding the correct liftgate part isn’t just about matching a part number — it’s about confirming where and how that part is used on your specific liftgate - it’s also locating other items in the vicinity which may need to be ordered to complete the job at hand.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce OEM Liftgate Diagram References, a new feature we’re rolling out across LiftGateMe in 2026.

This enhancement helps bridge the gap between OEM manuals and real-world ordering, giving you more confidence before you buy.

What Are OEM Diagram References?

When a part appears in an official OEM exploded diagram, we now surface that information directly on the product page in a new OEM Diagram References section.

From there, you can see:

  • Which OEM manuals the part appears in
  • The specific diagram pages and tables where it’s listed
  • Direct links to open the exact diagram where the part appears

This makes it easier to visually confirm context and understand how a part relates to surrounding components.

Here’s how it works:

  • Start on a product page
    If we’ve identified the part in one or more OEM diagrams, those references will be listed under OEM Diagram References.
  • Click “Open Diagram”
    This opens a dedicated diagram page in a new tab showing:
  • The exploded diagram
  • The corresponding parts table from the OEM manual
  • The referenced item’s row will be highlighted in the table
  • 3. View the original source
    Every diagram page includes a link to the original OEM PDF, so you can cross-check directly against the manufacturer’s documentation. We’re a small team attempting a “Big Company” initiative so things may not be perfect - when in doubt view the original pdf.

Each diagram page also includes quick navigation links at the top, making it easy to jump between sections within the manual.

Important Things to Know

A few important notes as you use this new feature:

  • An item may appear in multiple diagrams.
    Always be sure you’re viewing the diagram that matches your liftgate’s exact model and configuration.
  • Not every diagram item is for sale.
    Some parts shown in OEM diagrams may be discontinued, superseded, or no longer sold by the manufacturer. In those cases, you’ll see a Call for Purchase button so our team can help identify the correct replacement.
  • This feature is expanding gradually.
    We’re rolling out OEM Diagram References across manufacturers over time. You’ll see coverage increase steadily over the next year.
  • Accuracy matters — but human judgment still wins.
    We’re a small shop, and we put a lot of care into verifying data and links. That said, OEM documentation can be complex, and minor data defects are always possible. Please use diagrams as a reference tool, not a final authority.

Our goal with OEM Diagram References is to bring clarity into the ordering experience, not leave it buried in an inaccessible PDF.

Even if a diagram looks like your liftgate, there can be special builds, running changes, or model-year variations. If you’re not 100% certain, our team is happy to verify everything against your model, serial number, and application so you get the right part the first time.

Do all parts have references?

No. Not all parts will have references for two reasons.

First off, items may not appear in a breakdown because they are discontinued, too old, or we simply did not have a pdf file which it appeared in.

Secondly, this initiative has started as of January 2026 and we expect it to take 1 year. You will continue to see more and more of these diagrams and tables listed as we progress through 2026.
